At KITABE, we believe luxury is more than a label—it’s an experience. From our earliest days, we’ve dedicated ourselves to telling the stories of Africa’s most prestigious hotels through compelling visual campaigns. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we make that happen.

1. Discovering the Story

Every luxury hotel has a story to tell. Before we even pick up a camera, our team spends time understanding the brand’s DNA: What does it stand for? Who is its audience? What makes it different?

This discovery phase is all about connection. From meeting with the hotel’s design teams to exploring the property firsthand, we make sure every detail resonates with the luxury experience. For instance, at Radisson Blu Dakar Sea Plaza, the oceanfront view is an integral part of the hotel’s identity. Meanwhile, Fasq Hotel Nouakchott required us to highlight the warm hospitality and unique cultural touch of Mauritania.

2. Crafting a Visual Concept

Once the story is clear, we build a visual language around it. We create mood boards, color palettes, and thematic concepts that reflect the hotel’s atmosphere—whether it’s serene elegance, vibrant social energy, or refined luxury.

For Escape to Diamniadio, we focused on the contrast between Dakar’s bustling energy and Diamniadio’s peaceful calm. Our camera movements and lighting choices were all about creating a sense of quiet luxury.

3. Production and Execution

Next comes production: location scouting, model selection, styling, and meticulous planning. Every frame is carefully composed to highlight the essence of luxury—whether it’s the sparkle of a wine glass in a Michelin-starred restaurant or the tranquility of a spa suite.

For dynamic projects like Fally Ipupa’s New Year’s Eve Concert at Radisson Blu Dakar Sea Plaza, we embrace bold visuals and high-energy compositions. For more intimate settings like Buddha Spa, our visuals reflect the spa’s peaceful ambiance.

4. Post-Production and Refinement

The final stage is post-production. Here, we fine-tune color grading, polish details, and ensure the final visuals align perfectly with the brand’s story. We also create multiple versions to fit different platforms—social media, print, or in-room displays—while maintaining a consistent look and feel.
